How to Manage Change in Today’s Evolving Workplace

Gensler Design Exchange Podcast

It’s no secret that the way we work has changed radically. What started as a seemingly brief precaution to work at home three years ago has become a global workplace shift.

Even before the pandemic, Gensler had entire teams dedicated to consulting with clients to help guide them through major workplace changes. Needless to say, those teams are even busier today. At Gensler, we call this process of helping clients navigate big moves “Change Management.”

Gensler was tasked with re-imagining Armstrong World Industries’ campus in Lancaster, PA as a model for healthy, safe, sustainable buildings not only as a response to Covid-19, but to reflect their goal of individual wellbeing, employee engagement, and a culture focused on organizational outcomes.

In this episode of the Gensler Design Exchange podcast, we’re hearing from two Change Management leaders at Gensler to understand what Change Management is, why it’s important, and how it can be implemented. Adding to the conversation is a professor of Change Management at the University of Virginia and a Gensler client with whom we led a major office change initiative.

Tune in to hear the full conversation. As always, thanks for listening!
